Letting Go

One of the most popular phrases I hear is “when we get back to normal.”

I rarely jump in and disrupt whomever is speaking, but the truth is that NOW is what is normal. Normal never has been what is behind us, nor is it what is ahead.

The reason so many long for a “return to normal” is that we cannot let go of the past. And it’s not really the past as in the activities of the past, but the fact that we operated within a different set of habits. We were used to how our days evolved. We have learned new ways to shop, to commune, and to worship.

If we can let go of what we consider to be “normal,” I know we’ll find amazing new opportunities in the NOW.

So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!

2 Corinthians 5:17 NRSV

Let go right now. Enjoy what is at this moment. Rejoice that you can receive the Grace and Love of the Divine right now.

And live with the expectations of a new normal of greater consciousness.
